Gas prices soar and make wood fuel even more appealing

Wood Fuel becomes even more attractive!

UK news channels reported yesterday (18th September 2009) that UK gas energy bills are 'unlikely to fall' as Gas companies have rejected calls to cut gas prices.

The six largest energy suppliers have told regulator Ofgem that there is little chance of any further cuts in this coming year in a response to them being asked about the falling price of wholesale gas.

Regrettably, Ofgem has no power to enforce price cuts and therefore consumers are set to pay higher than average bills. Reports suggest that these energy companies are making more gross margin during this period.

This situation is likely to make more people turn to using wood fuel as a cheap and viable option for heating their homes and water.

Logs2U is confident that our kiln dried logs and wood fuel supply service will meet the increasing demand from customers for the 2009 winter period.
