HETAS Approved Logs

Logs2u, as part of the CPL group, has been awarded the HETAS seal of quality assurance for our Kiln Dried Hardwood Logs supplied in Dumpy Bags or Handy Bags. This approval is in recognition of the quality control procedures in place that ensures customers receive a safe, reliable and efficient product everytime.

We are one of the few companies in the UK to receive certification from both HETAS and the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). Whilst HETAS check the quality of the fuel provided, the FSC makes sure that it always comes from responsibly managed sources.

HETAS are the official body, recognised by the Government, to approve solid and biomass fuels. Their mission is to ensure that customers have access to high quality fuel products and are educated into the benefits of properly drying and seasoning to achieve the safe and economical fuel required.

What does the HETAS seal of approval mean?

Through an extensive testing process we have been awarded the HETAS seal of approval for the quality of our Kiln Dried Hardwood Logs. This means that all of the following consistently meet the high standards set out by this governing body:

• Moisture content (less than 25%)
• Consistent Length
• Consistent Volume
• Country of origin
• Species of wood
• Packaging and product description

This means that you only receive the very best fuel for your fire or appliance. The HETAS accreditation means that the fuel is clean and safe, provides a source of energy that you can rely on, and is economical with consistently high kWh of energy generated.

Buying Solid Biomass Assurance Scheme approved fuel could save you money in the amount of fuel required and the maintenance costs of your appliance (as there will be less of the damage caused by wetter wood products). In terms of logs, this accredited fuel will provide a higher kWh per tonne energy efficiency, meaning that you need less fuel to create the heat you need.

How does this link with the FSC certification?
